Misty Guantonio LMFT, LCADC

I am a dual-licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC) with nearly 30 years of experience in health education and clinical practice. My focus is on assisting individuals in overcoming mental health concerns with clarity, resilience, and lasting change.
I am certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a research-backed method effective in treating trauma, PTSD, and complex life challenges. EMDR enables us to tackle the root causes of distress rather than merely managing symptoms, fostering meaningful and enduring healing.
Prior to my therapy career, I dedicated over 20 as a health educator, which has shaped my holistic, systems-informed approach. This background has enhanced my understanding of the interconnectedness of physical health, emotional regulation, occupational stress, and relationships, especially for those in high-demand professions. I have worked with individuals from various sectors, including those high-stress and high-risk careers. My approach is collaborative, direct, and compassionate, rooted in safety, respect, and clinical integrity.
Outside of my clinical practice, I prioritize balance and connection. I enjoy outdoor, staying active through CrossFit, and spending quality time with family, friends, and my dogs. If you are looking for focused, trauma-informed care from a clinician who understands the personal and professional challenges you face, I would be honored to support you in journey toward healing and growth.
